Design with adobe

These beds were created out of adobe - one form of sustainable hardscape. This clients front yard is now a dynamic outdoor living area that yields fruit, vegetables, and fragrant blooms.

Go Local

This client had an existing pool and wanted to fix this eyesore on the way down to the pool. Geordie designed a system of terraced plant beds alongside the steps out of Limestone.

Limestone is an elegant material that ages well and it is prevalent near this clients home in Texas. This photo was taken right after the installation. Now the plants have grown in completely and it is a lush outdoor living area.

Rock bed

These rock beds and mulch areas are the future home of a full vegetable garden. Vegetable gardens require around 50% less water than grassy areas of the same size.

Simple & beautiful

These rock beds provide great planting areas for natives and vegetables. By terracing and mulching the area it looks great and helps retain moisture in the soil.

Lawn removed & re-invented

Save up to 50% on your water bill

This front lawn was not being used and cost hundreds of dollars a month to water. We installed drip irrigation lines and replaced the lawn with natives and fruit trees. In the backyard a vegetable garden was installed alongside a smaller lawn for their kids to play in.

Re-Invent your lawn!

One of our favorite installations in the past two years. It is remarkable what can be done in even a small space like this front yard. The property just continues to look better and better:

New idea's for your lawn

This homeowner was spending too much on their water bill every month. We designed a new space for the client that will produce fruit, vegetables, and beautiful flowers. This photo is taken immediately after the installation and by now the plants are already several feet high and beginning to produce food.

Hillside lawn replacement

There is nice incline on this property and the lawn was not being used. We replaced the lawn with a terraced rock wall & border to retain water and make the space more functional. In the new beds we planted natives, fruit trees, and some aromatherapy including lavender and gardenias.

Garfield Street: Backyard after

Here you can see the new vegetable garden in a hand built rock bed, flagstone patio, and fountain with bamboo spout.

The new patio provides a great living space and it is surrounded by native plants and fruit trees.

You can also see grape vines alongside the porch foundation that will grow up to create a natural shaded area over the patio.

Garfield Street: Front After

We replaced the lawn with natives that will grow in over the next few years. Water consumption has been reduced by over 50% and the yard is now an ecological gem.

Garfield Street: Front before

Here you can see a traditional lawn in Pomona, CA. The homeowner was tired of the high water bills and maintenance costs so we came up with a solution.

Doane Street: After photo's

Here you can see the installation after the vegetable garden had time to grow in. We installed the fence you can see surrounding the garden and trellis along the edge provided a nice shady area and green wall to insulate from the street.
